ND McCray is a new media journalist, music blogger and content creator of Unclouded By Ambition.com, a (mostly) indie music blog that focuses on R&B, soul, funk, hip-hop, electro and indie rock.

Started in late 2007, Unclouded By Ambition’s goal has always been simple: to recognize independent artists, but to also mix it up with entertaining and original content from the worlds of pop culture, film and social media, to include artist interviews, album reviews and concert reviews as well.

ND has been a contributing writer for a variety of indie magazines and websites to include Short and Sweet NYC.com, GhettoBlaster Magazine and Nu-Soul Magazine. An avid concert goer, the native Texan has attended 17 shows in four cities in the last 12 months. She has also interviewed artists as diverse as Matt Vasquez from indie rock band Delta Spirit, alt-soul singer-songwriter Candice Anitra and Shabazz Palaces frontman Ishmael “Butterfly” Butler.

As a former Brooklynite, her dream gig is to write for Wax Poetics, the respected indie music mag based out of Brooklyn, New York. She currently lives in Houston, Texas.

ND earned her Master of Arts degree in New Media Journalism through Full Sail University, and her Bachelor of Science degree in Communications from University of Phoenix.
