KCRW Presents: Penguin Prison – "Don’t Fuss With My Money"
Penguin Prison’s synth-pop disco tune “Don’t F*ck With My Money” was a big hit last year during the Occupy movement. So in promotion of his recently released self-titled album, Chris Glover performed a clean version of the song on NPR-affiliate, KCRW’s Wednesdays Become Eclectic showcase. However to get a true feel for the track, peep the original version, which was filmed in NYC during the Occupy Wall Street march from Zuccotti Park to Times Square.
OM Download: Dirty Vegas "Little White Doves" {Nightriders Remix}
OM recording artists Dirty Vegas (Ben Harris and Paul Harris on instrumentals and production, and Steve Smith on vocals) recently released a remix compilation of the house smash “Little White Doves.” This mix is from Boston duo Nightriders, but with other contributors like fellow Brits Ladytron and New York-native Penguin Prison, it’s definitely a fun affair. Also, check out Knightriders mix and then check out the special acoustic performance of the dance tune at the Yahoo Music offices: kinda fly how they flip it. The UK trio’s latest LP Electric Love is out now!
