“The Floacist” releases “new” single: “Say Yes”
“Say Yes” originally appeared on the 2002 debut album Floetic by London-duo Floetry. Featuring the vocal stylings of Marsha Ambrosius (“The Songtress”) and Natalie Stewart (“The Floacist“), the group unfortunately disbanded in 2007. However, their mix of neo-soul and poetry garnered them three successful LPs (Floetic, Floacism in 2003 and Flo’Ology in 2005) as well as several Grammy Award nominations. Now 10 years later and sort of an homage to the Floetry era,”The Floacist” has covered “Say Yes”, turning it into a sultry jazzy number featured on her sophomore project The Floacist Presents: Floetry Re:Birth, which hit stores on November 13, 2012.
